As shown above patriarchy system dominate due to bad customs ,norms, habits and behavior of the community. Equality between men and women on land and property ownership is not observed hence majority of the population is bulled and discriminated.  It have been proven  that 87% of GBV in Njombe Region originate due to land or property ownership.

Despite of women and girls in Njombe DC being very hard workers, they remain impoverished due to gender inequality on land and property ownership imposed by bad traditional customs, norms and culture of the Bena tribe. The land and property is owned by the male community  in the families.

The project aims is  to empower Women and girls in Njombe District obtain the right to own land and property, by using seminars in which  270 Women, 90 girls,  45 men, 45 boys and 45 Elders of any gender from the Villages  will  be the direct beneficiaries of the seminars,  hence 495 people in total will be reached.  These 495 people who will attend seminars are from protection of Women and children Committee also land Committee from 45 Villages of Njombe District Council. Most members of these two Committees in the Villages  don’t have proper knowledge of Government laws and rules which favor  the right of women and girls, they just handle cases using inherited practices. The seminar will empower these Committee members to impart the knowledge obtained to their Community and use it during their day to day activities when solving Community challenges.
